Tabata is a high-intensity workout that has fitness and weight loss benefits. It has short interval training segments followed by a brief rest time. Most tabata has a 20 second all-out exercise follow by a 10 second rest. There may be 4 exercises repeated 4-8 times, depending on fitness level. Workout time varies from 16-20 minutes. Any form of exercises can be incorporated into a tabata (high intensity training) program. It could be a combination of core work, cardiovascular, and resistance training.
