I believe living a healthy lifestyle begins with maintaining a strong and fit body. My aim is to help you identify your fitness goals, design an exercise program that fits your needs and guide you through every exercise, every workout. My holistic approach to fitness and health will have you feeling great and seeing results in no time.
As a fitness instructor since 1989 my AIM is to educate clients. I focus on the mind body connection. There is an awareness on posture and alignment during movement and in stillness.
I studied at the National Academy of Sports Medicine with a focus on corrective exercise. After evaluating my clients gait and body posture as they move, sit and stand; I use various different training modalities in correcting any imbalances. My system is based on the Pilates Method of Contrology created by Joseph Pilates. I attended Long Beach Dance Conditioning and had the honor and privilege training with Maria-Jose Blum. I started practicing pilates in 1994 and became a certified instructor in 1997.
I have been blessed with helping many clients in rehabilitation, general fitness of all ages, professional athletes and celebrities.

I have been taking classes with Debbie at Hermosa Pilates. She is very patient and passionate about teaching and her direction and cues helped me to understand pilates. Debbie is a very knowledgeable instructor. She has studied so much more than pilates. I have seen her before and after knee replacement surgery. She has helped me a great deal.
